Lend-A-Hand

Hamlin Lend-A-Hand

The Mission

Hamlin’s Lend-A-Hand Community Service committee aims to provide service learning opportunities for Hamlin students and their families. Service learning encompasses actual volunteer service along with an opportunity for the students to learn about the importance of a particular project and its impact on others. The parent-led committee organizes age-appropriate activities through which students can experience a sense of pride and accomplishment. Projects focus on children and families in San Francisco, hunger, homelessness, and the environment.

Lend-a-Hand Helpers meet the first Wednesday of each month from 2:15 to 3:30. Interested students may sign up on the bulletin board or contact Mary Kay Sisson.
