Applying to Grades 1 – 8

Attend Learn About Hamlin on Saturday, October 25, 2008. Our program, designed for adults only, begins at 9:00 a.m. and will include an overview of the K-8 curriculum and an opportunity to meet the Hamlin faculty and administration. Attend a parent tour on one of the following mornings:

  • Tuesday, October 14, 8:30-9:45 a.m.
  • Monday, October 27, 8:30-9:45 a.m.
  • Wednesday, October 29, 8:30-9:45 a.m.
  • Monday, November 3, 8:30-9:45 a.m.
  • Tuesday, November 11, 8:30-9:45 a.m.
  • Wednesday, November 12, 8:30-9:45 a.m.
  • Tuesday, November 18, 8:30-9:45 a.m.
  • Tuesday, December 16, 8:30-9:45 a.m.
  • Tuesday, January 6, 8:30-9:45 a.m.

Schedule a parent interview to meet with our Director of Admission.

Return all necessary documentation (application, nonrefundable $100 application fee, official transcript and teacher recommendations) by January 16, 2009. Families facing financial constraints may request an application fee adjustment by contacting Lisa Lau Aquino '81, Director of Admission.

Applicants for Grades 5-8 are asked to take the Independent School Entrance Examination (ISEE). Please have the results sent directly to The Hamlin School (use code # 053040). To register for the ISEE, please call 1-800-446-0320 or visit their website at www.iseetest.org. Please have your daughter take the ISEE by February 15, 2009.

Please let us know if your child requires special accommodation to participate in our admission process.

March 19, 2009: All San Francisco K-8 independent schools, including Hamlin, mail their decision letters on this date.
