Dear Hamlin Families,

The school year is moving speedily along and it has been a great year so far. I know that everyone is looking forward to the Title IX Family Night on March 12th, the Hamlin Gala on Friday, April 5th, and spring break (hooray!) the week of April 15th.

The PA events this year have been so much fun, including the Golf Tournament, Winterfest, and Hamlin Harvest. It has also been great to see so many of you volunteering for events and getting involved. We have had more parents volunteering this year to get involved with the school at every level – from classroom participation to major event participation than ever before. This is personally heartwarming for me as it shows that parents are happy and engaged, sharing the Hamlin experience with their daughters, other parents, and the greater Hamlin community.

We are actively engaged in the process of building our new slate of volunteers for PA roles for next school year and so encourage you to complete the Volunteer Sign Up Form. Even if you do not know what you want to do, the form lets us know that you want to get involved and Elizabeth Hylton (our Volunteer Coordinator) will help to get you engaged in something that fits with your time frame and interests.

Please also consider joining one of the Parents Association Committees and/or participating in events run by these committees, such as Lend-a-Hand, the Hamlin Diversity Council, the Eco-Council, Hospitality, Library Volunteers, Lunch Volunteers, School Store, S.P.E.A.K. program, and many others. Each of these committees is woven into the fabric of our remarkable community and provides fun and interesting opportunities throughout the School year.

Thanks to each and every one of you for making Hamlin the wonderful place that it is. We are grateful for the unique perspectives, experience set, time, energy, and warmth that every parent brings to our community.

Wishing you a happy spring.
