A palpable sense of empowerment is a result of treating girls with respect and expecting the best from each member of the class. A sense of teamwork and community inspires the girls to become involved in helping, serving, improving, and enjoying their school life. It’s never a surprise to find a Hamlin girl suggesting a better idea for school life, inside or outside of the classroom. And in this way, students take on ownership and pride in what Hamlin stands for and how Hamlin functions.
