Blue Stockings is Hamlin’s annual artistic publication, one that showcases writing and artwork submitted by girls in the Middle School. Led by an editorial staff made up of a handful of seventh and eighth graders and one faculty advisor, Middle School girls are invited to submit their artistic work for publication. Girls submit poetry, short fiction, non-fiction, drawing, painting, sculpture, and photography. Then the editorial staff reviews the work submitted, formats it, and publishes the final product in the spring. Blue Stockings is a celebration of Hamlin’s creative spirit; it also is a happy marriage of fine arts, English, and technology.
