The speech team is a coeducational group of seventh and eighth grade students from both Hamlin and Cathedral School. The students spend two months preparing one speech to deliver publicly at two separate formal competitions. The students prepare a piece from one of the following five categories: humor, expository, persuasion, drama, or impromptu. Speech Team is an excellent opportunity for students to practice the delivery of a prepared speech in a variety of settings.
