Recycling

Under the leadership of a faculty advisor, fifth grade students are responsible for recycling all paper classroom materials as well as glass bottles and aluminum cans around campus. In addition, sixth grade students are charged with educating the Hamlin community about the benefits of composting all organic materials such as food waste and the napkins and paper products used in the lunchroom. The recycling and compost programs provide an opportunity for students to actively participate in the reduction of waste at our school and to consider the positive impact of such programs on our environment.
