The admission process is about finding the best fit for a child and a family - a learning environment where a girl can thrive and grow and where the mission and philosophy of a school match the educational goals and values of a family.
Begin the process by joining us for a weekday tour of the school to see our students and faculty in action. All tours are led by our Grade 8 students who are the “experts” about life at Hamlin. At the end of the tour, you will have an opportunity to chat with current Hamlin parents as well as with Wanda M. Holland Greene, our Head of School.
Throughout the admission season, we will invite you to a variety of events to get to know our program and community - from Learn About Hamlin to meet our faculty and hear about our curriculum to Diversity and Inclusivity Dialogues to explore and discuss what it means to be a diverse and inclusive community at Hamlin.
The process comes to a close in mid-March when decision letters are mailed by all independent elementary schools in San Francisco. Families will then a have a week of quiet reflection to consider their options.
