Tuition for all grades, K-8, for the 2020-2021 school year is $37,600. Tuition includes lunch and snack as well as all book, materials, and technology fees. All school activities, field trips, and outdoor education programs during the school year are also included.

The Hamlin School is committed to socioeconomic diversity in its community. No qualified student should be denied access to Hamlin for financial reasons.

For the 2020-2021 school year, The Hamlin School will allocate $2,650,000 to its financial assistance budget.

To be eligible for tuition assistance, families must demonstrate financial need as determined by an independent review organization and our Financial Assistance Committee. All families are invited to attend one of the optional "Affording Hamlin" information workshops, which are held on campus in the fall.

Information on assistance is made available to current and prospective families each fall, at which time applications may be submitted. The Financial Assistance Committee makes final decisions on all assistance allocations.   • Important Dates for the Hamlin Financial Assistance Program

    1. By Wednesday, January 20, 2021, Parents’ Financial Statement (PFS) is sent to School and Student Services (SSS) for processing. Use Hamlin School Code #3664. Submitting the PFS is the critical first step in the financial assistance process.
    2. By Wednesday, February 17, 2021, a copy of the 2020 Federal Income Tax (FIT), including all schedules, a copy of the 2020 W-2 form (Wage and Tax Statement 2020), and a signed copy of the IRS 4506t form should be sent to School and Student Services (SSS). A copy of the student’s FIT should be included, should she be required to file one. (An estimate of a family’s 2020 tax return may be submitted initially and later replaced when the final return is completed.)
    3. On Wednesday, March 17, 2021, awards will be made to those families who have returned the paperwork and demonstrated need. Letters of acceptance and financial assistance awards are mailed together.
    4. After March 17, 2021, financial assistance decisions will be made upon receipt of requested information on a rolling, funds-available basis to those demonstrating need.
    5. Currently enrolled families receive notification of financial assistance grants by the end of April.
