Maybe you think of the painful injustices perpetrated against Tom Robinson, or Scout and Jem's shattered innocence as they confront violent racism in their sleepy town. Or perhaps you picture Gregory Peck as Atticus in the film adaptation, decked out in a gleaming white suit, giving a passionate closing argument in a silent, sweltering courtroom.
