Program

Extended Day

Hamlin’s Extended Day Program is a community within the school for girls across grade levels. Our emphasis is on positive play and creative projects. We offer a balance of structured and independent activities and pride ourselves on creating a warm and welcoming environment for all our students.

List of 7 items.

  • Morning Care

Morning care is available for all girls, Kindergarten through Grade 8, in McKinne Lounge. Please enter trough the Vallejo entrance. There is no need to register ahead of time. Girls can sign themselves in each day on an as-needed basis. Morning care runs from 7:00 a.m. to 7:50 a.m. each day with no additional cost.
  • Hub (Lower School Extended Day)

Hub is so named due to its definition: the center of activity or interest. We are located right at the center of school on Floor 1 of Stanwood Hall, and offer daily care for K-4 students. We provide all students with snack, supervised playtime on the lair, a daily creative activity, and study hall space for girls needing to complete homework. Hub is a joyful and inviting place for girls to spend their afternoon!

  • After 3 (Middle School Extended Day)

Need a place to wait for a music lesson or athletic practice? Have homework to do? Want to participate in a fun project or game? After 3 is the place to be. We provide a combination of free time to catch up with your friends, supervised time to get your homework done, and daily creative activities to choose from.

  • Music Academy

Hamlin Music Academy provides on-campus instrument lessons, from flute to guitar to violin and more! Students work one-on-one with our lovely teachers for 30- or 60-minute lessons. The year culminates in a beautiful recital in the Great Hall.

  • After School Academy

Also known as ASA, we offer many exciting enrichment classes that emphasize the arts and movement. Example courses include robotics, sewing, and climbing. Class sizes are limited to ensure one-on-one attention, and that students collaborate and develop friendships with girls in other grades. We use a trimester system that gives students several opportunities to try out something new throughout the year. Look for registration openings in August, December, and February.

  • Vacation Camp

Looking for childcare during school vacations? We offer a great day camp experience when school is out on break. Campers participate in fun games on campus, and travel each afternoon to explore the city. Each camp will have a specific theme, so please check our website to see where and what we will be up to.
