    We foster open dialogue through family programs, parent education, and community outreach.

What is PLAID? 
PLAID is a Hamlin Parent Association group focused on educating our community about diversity and promoting an inclusive environment. We seek to broaden perspectives and experiences via cultural events, dialogues and films, and deepen connections at Hamlin by fostering open dialogue and celebrating our commonalities and differences. 

Who can participate? 
PLAID is for our entire Hamlin community: current families, alumnae, faculty, and staff. 

Where and when do PLAID events take place? 
PLAID sponsors events throughout the school year, including thought-provoking films, panel discussions, cultural celebrations, and advocacy opportunities. PLAID also posts regularly on the Hamlin blog regarding cultural, racial, socioeconomic, and technological issues. 

How can I get involved?
  • Attend any or all PLAID event(s)
  • Help us plan events or write for the PLAID blog
